In order to actually lower inflation you need to decrease the supply of currency or increase the demand for currency. But this isn't the whole story, you have to make sure that you lower inflation relative to wages for the poor and middle class on items that they are likely to buy rather than on luxury items that only rich people buy. Also the old people with savings for which infation is a tax on savings must be recompensated as they do not have wages and are living off a pot of money that is being stolen from under their noses. I know you think this bill will do a lot of good, but how do you measure it? How easy is it to take advantage of all these little helpful things in the bill? Will most people bother? Have you made the system more complicated? What are the potential unintended consequences? Will it do what it is advertised to do?

I have an idea. Quit passing as many bills as you can. The best thing the government can do for us is leave us alone. Shrink government and quit spending our money whenever you feel like it. Quit taking our money and leave it up to us.
